Before each powerful spit, I take my time preparing the perfect mixture. Sometimes I dig deep, pulling thick mucus from the depths of my lungs and bronchi, letting out a deep, guttural cough to bring it up. Other times, I work my nasopharynx intensely, sniffling and swallowing, collecting a unique blend of saliva and nasal fluids. When it’s ready, I step back—two meters away—and release a wet, heavy spitball. It flies through the air and smacks against the wooden cabinet with a loud, satisfying impact. Some droplets burst and spread, others stretch into sticky, web-like strands, slowly oozing down the surface. The textures, the sounds, the rawness of my body’s natural fluids—everything is captured in detail.
