Breathe Deeply – the Smell of My Feet
When we finally meet again, I quickly notice that your attention keeps returning to my feet. At first I try to ignore it, hoping we can spend our time differently, and you agree so easily that I believe it will work. But soon your behavior changes the atmosphere — every gesture feels deliberate, as if you are patiently leading everything toward making my idea fail. The tension becomes uncomfortable, and I begin to feel that insisting was a mistake. In the end, I give up and, with slight embarrassment, admit that you can focus again on what interests you most. I immediately see satisfaction in your eyes, as though you had expected this from the start. There is only one thing you should know: I came straight from the office after a full day in shoes. Hours of work left my feet dirty, warm, and sweaty, and my shoes carry the weight of the entire day. If your curiosity is really that strong, then smell them and find out for yourself.
