No. 143 Taking a Break at the Park and Cycling-a Moment’s Rest in the Park, Then Becoming the Wind

A small park I discovered while cycling. I sit on a bench and take a sip of warm coffee. In this moment, when I’m not “I” but “me,” the world looks just a little different. The birdsong is gentle, and the sunlight filtering through the trees is dazzling. Even the flutter of excitement at the thought of being seen by someone feels, for some reason, pleasant here. Alright, let’s pedal again. Becoming the wind, becoming myself. My skirt flutters, and my shadow chases after me. I want to feel this freedom even more. Because I feel like the version of myself I love even more is waiting for me at the end of a ride that leaves me breathless.
